PAR Select is the most flexible of our products for automatically capturing supply transactions at the point-of-use. PAR Select provides the ability to accommodate up to 1600 patients simultaneously.

PAR Select was designed specifically for PAR Locations with:

-More than 56 Active Patients
-Patients Without Room Assignments
-Rapid Patient Turnover

Each PAR Select board can be configured to service the following types of patients:

-All or Selected Inpatients
-All or Selected Outpatients
-Both Inpatients and Outpatients

The caregiver simply touches the first letter of the patient’s last name on the keypad. After locating the patient’s name, he/she presses the corresponding selection button next to the patient name. The Touch Probe is immediately readied for use. The caregiver removes the Touch Probe and begins to touch iTags for each item dispensed. When complete, the Touch Probe is returned to the Downloader. An integrated instruction display walks the user through this quick and easy process.

The information gathered is automatically downloaded as soon as the Touch Probe is returned to the Downloader. This information, like all information collected by the PAR Excellence System, automatically flows to the Material Management Department for supply replenishment, inventory management and critical alert notification. The patient’s account can be updated to record appropriate charges and/or credits. Cost accounting information by doctor, patient, procedure, DRG, etc. is also available.
